Those journals which are scopus and ESCI are better, but will not carry impact factors
Transactions in IEEE is always good..... publication in Elsevier is also good platform...
How ESCI is better than Scopes. If Scopes is better the ESCI then what is the reason justification?
I would prefer quality over quantity.Scopus has more journals from all parts of the world using similar selection criteria with different metrics for “quality.2nd Scopus accepts a higher percentage of publications that are submitted for evaluation, which means that they continue to add at a faster rate.
where as,Thomson Reuters continues to focus on what they consider the top tier journals based on citation count.
SCI or SCIE journals are maintaining better standard than Scopus indexed journals. Reputation of the paper will be more. But prefer open access publications irrespective of the indexing.
My dears indexing that is accepted and demanded by the governing bodies of your countries is the best for you if you are a beginner. Like PMDC and HEC has their lists of journals and index publication that particular indexed and recognized journal will be counted for your promotion from assistant to associate and then to professor.And you have crossed that limit then any journal with good impact factor should be your task of publication
It is probably best to publish in the journals indexed by BOTH (E)SCI and Scopus.
Right now ISI is better because it indexes top-tiered journals, but as also mentioned above, Scopus is quickly catching up...
In my case, I usually check if the journal is indexed in both (i.e. ISI and Scopus)...

Both indexing are good. Many journals are overlapping as well. You should check the requirements of your university and their criteria as it varies from country to country.
SCI-E indexes top tier journals but Scopus indexes medium level journals, so SCI-E is good
