I want to model a scenario in FEA software for corrosion fatigue testing and detection of nucleation of cracks using Acoustic emission NDT and UT NDT. So, for this application which FEA software is good? Ansys or Abaqus?
Dear, it depends on which software in your system can run easily because in whole world there so many software available for analysis of these
corrosion,pitting,SCC,multiple cracks,fatigue test, UT NDT, AE NDT etc. in my opinion you just first go through the literature that will be beneficial for dual ways. and also Met lab, ANSYS is best for get large mesh size with quality of results.

There are many softwares used for analysis of the mentioned conditions. Most convenient software for all these conditions is MATLAB.
