All the surface of the pond with a scum of Euglena. After a climate change (temperature drop and windy)
Cells 110-117 long x 31 wide. Chloroplasts numerous, small, disc-shaped. Flagelum as long as the cell lenght. With eyespot. With tail-piece.
They change very quickly to a palmelloid stage (sphaerical and without flagelum)

Photos 3 to 7 seem Euglena sanguinea. I saw the same species in bloom algae, affecting fish ponds in Bolivian Amazon.
Dear Nabor, but they are green no red (the scums)
photos p_m(3) and p_m4 (possition 4 and 6) are fixed with lugol (and perhaps they look brownisch)

My suggestion is Euglena caudata K.Hubner considering the size,shape and other morphological features.

this species is very interesting, during sunny days turn red brick and during cloudy hours turn green, also they change shape quickly

My suggestion is Euglena hemichromata and u chek the key character for that species. because u see the chromatophore characters. The half cell covered with chromatophores exhibiting green color while other half of the cell also covered with chromatophores but its not exhibit green color and remain colorless.
