The Stanford Binet - 5th Ed. can be given to very young children and has a very high 'ceiling' in that it is continuous - has items of difficulty up to adult level that can be given in areas of giftedness.
Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI) is an IQ test designed for children ages 2 years 6 months to 7 years 7 months. After that there's the WISC-IV - Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children. Another IQ tests which is suitable for children from diverse cultural backgrounds and non-English speaking backgrounds is the Raven's Progressive Matrices.
