Currently, I do not think there are devices like that, but even if there are, the principle may be based on a qualitative measurement, in that, if the CRP level is higher than the upper limit of the normal range, it will test positive, but not the actual value (I.e not quantitative).

In fact they are small desktop analysers, suitable for a GP office. They should not be compared with simple immunochromatographic slide tests like pregnancy tests from pharmacist shop.
