Currently I'm looking for the enzymatic COX - ELISA based test. I'd like to measure anti inflammatory properties of some drugs and I don't know which test would be the best.
Any ideas? Articles? Does anyone have an experience in such research field? :)

I've used the COX activity assay from Cayman Chemicals which can test COX-1 and COX-2 activity. In addition, you could do western blotting for protein levels, look at other inflammatory mediators (cytokines, lipoxygenase, cPLA2) or use a PGE2 assay as a screening for the drugs.

Thank you for answer Kimberly! I have to wait with this test, but now I know what kind of test should I do and what mediators are important to look at.
I do have used COX-2 inhibitor screening assay kit (both Colorimetric assay and ELISA based assay from Caymen Chemicals. The results are pretty good.
