We are in the process of buying DG/DTA/DSC coupled with mass spec. I understand that two configuration can be used to transfer evolved gas to mass spec. (i) Sniffer coupling or (ii) transfer line ?

I feel sniffer connection should be better, as the condensation during the transfer of gas is minimum. Can any one please comment on any possible problems associated with sniffer connection?
