In order to measure the produced methane volume in an anaerobic experiment I would like to strip out the CO2 by bubbling the gas through a basic solution. It seems as if in literature the concentration is chosen quite freely/at random. How do I know which concentration to use to be sure that any CO2 is stripped out when working with a +/- 15 cm liquid height (1L bottle) with a gas sparger on the bottom?
