I've previously performed the slow pyrolysis process with and without presence of H2O (steam-pyrolysis), however I,ve observed that this addition, can directly affects the amount and composition of gas samples, while i expected that, with the addition of water vapor, due to the induced feature on the surface of the bio-char, the amount of Oily products increase dramatically, but no obvious changes were observed!
Firstly I want to know that, is my expectation true? and if it is, which substance you suggest me, to use?

The only way to have a considerable increase in bio oil production is to move from slow pyrolisis to fast pyrolisis.

But the mentioned change, also required many alteration in the pyrolysis apparatus such as providing durability of much higher temperatures, which I think is impossible in our case. That's why I am seeking for an alternative route.

The addition of steam, will increase the temperature of the process resulting in cracking of condensable compunds and increase in the gaseous products, as you have rightly stated in your question.
Therefore, my first suggestion is to increase the heating rate or with to flash pyrolysis. Secondly you could employ a catalyst (zeolite) or lastly, blend your fuel with plastics which have high volatile matter to increase your bio-oil yield.

I've recently examined some different catalysts during the process and they somehow satisfied me in the prospective of the amount of main product, but in ongoing project, I am seeking for a new pathway to reduce the cost of BO manufacturing, However i found your last suggestion so interesting and I am definitely going to evaluate the Micoalgae-plastic polymer blend in next days

The process is a cleavage reaction of beta position liks, hence the more radicals you add, the shorter the time on reaction the higher your yield of BO will be. A good number of experiments should be performed to conclude to optimum result.
