There are lots of literature in the language testing and assessment field. I am wondering which one in your own perspective inspires you the most, or helps you in a ways that is really significant, or you can define as classics, and why?
There are many new articles and books ., but Cambridge Floe -Joe Practice Tests: FCE- CAE - PET- IELTS - helped me to guide my students in practicing different types beside the theoretical .According to the definition:
"Language Testing is the practice and study of evaluating the proficiency of an individual in using a particular language effectively." Priscilla Allen, University of Washington.
Writing English Language Tests by J. B. Heaton (1988) published by Longman, NY. I used the picture sequence (p. 93) to assess and contrast speaking skills of different levels of learners at foreign and second linguistic environments in my conference paper " The Role of Language Transfer in the Interlanguage of Libyan Adult Learners of English".
I think Fulcher and Davidson's (2006) Language Testing and Assessment: An Advanced Resource Book is still really relevant and provides a lot of information
I would recommend "Language Testing in Practice: Designing and Developing Useful Language Tests" (Oxford Applied Linguistics) by Palmer and Bachman and Bachman's Fundamental Considerations in Language Testing.
