Hi,

I am running westerns on adolescent mouse hippocampal tissue and I am struggling to identify the correct band for Mouse MAP2/cd. Attached below is a snapshot of westerns with two different antibodies.

Note that MAP2a/b is expected at 270kDa, and comes up in my whole brain lysates, but not my hippocampal lysates. This is why I am focused on the lower size MAP2c/d fragments, which are expected around 70kDa, but have been reported anywhere from 50-100kDa in various species. However, I can only find one source reporting MAP2c/d in young mouse brain (https://www.cellsignal.com/products/primary-antibodies/map2-d5g1-xp-rabbit-mab/8707), at approx. 90kDa.

Has anyone else looked at MAP2c/d in similar age, species, and tissue? I suspect that my weak 85kDa band is the closest match, but what of the other bands like the strong 45kDa bands? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
