I have a sentinel Level-1 Product. So before using it for classification, I have to do atmospheric correction. So one thing that I curious to Know about is ' How is QGIS SCP plugin relevant for atmospheric correction as it is Free and open source ' And which one is preferable if we have both the Options ?
FLAASH module is good which is in ENVI. It uses the MODTRAN radiative transfer model, it is highly efficient. Give all the parameters correctly, it will correct Level-1 data.
You can find a lot of literature comparing different methods for atmospheric correction. From what I read, six sigma is the best followed by FLAASh and may be then the Sen2Cor module in SNAP. The DOS1 correction in SCP QGIS is the worst. It practically does absolutely nothing, just scales the bands with respect to dark features and is useless when your work involves spectral details.
Use ESA-SNAP! A free-source and has plenty of Image processing tools.
