Which articles do you recommend regarding the non-technical/irrational perspective on managing sustainability?

From my perspective there is plenty of literature available about the rational aspects of sustainability e.g. how to implement ISO, wirte a CSR report. However, articles about how to get people engaged/aligned, foster the necessary mind-shift and ensure commitment for sustainability are very welcome.

The team I'm part of has worked on the non-technical aspects of managing sustainability within the specific field of product innovation. From that I would recommend Boks (2006) The Soft-side of EcoDesign. Journal of Cleaner Production. (and you could browse through the papers that cite this one) and a paper by my own student Petala et al (2010) The role of new product development briefs in implementing sustainability: A case study. Journal of Engineering and Technology Management.

We have also worked specifically on the context of sustainability target setting between external design agencies and their clients. but we're still working on the publication of that.
