Hi! All. I want to study whether poor communication will cause the effects caused by poor communication. But I am not sure which analysis/test should I use. I use degree of agreement to collect the data in which the respondents rating for their agreement (eg. agree, disagree etc.) Pls feel free to recommend. TQ.

can you please clarify what purpose of your study wanted to investigate, poor communication will cause the effects of what? Effects of poor communication? In my view, your IV is exactly same as your DV.

Foh Siewhui Do you mean that you want to study the sub factors that combined lead to poor communication ,that exist in the scale you will use???The right question is if there are pre-existing evidence that show a relationship so you can go to a cause and effect measure ,or if there is non if you at least can answer that maybe someone can help you. And also watch it for type II error. The way you described what you want to do looks like you want to measure what it is already obvious
