Please have a look at the image attached to this query, then let me know which of the five possible aerodynamic surface control setup is suitable for a rolling-airframe missile (spinning missile)? and also elaborate why it is more suitable?
Dear Bilal. Thank You. The image is picked from https://etd.lib.metu.edu.tr/upload/12607310/index.pdf
I am designing a spinning missile as RIM116, so what's your idea about that (which configuration better)? I cannot spot on its configuration through online videos of RIM116 or other text sources which provide schematics.
thanks. I saw the video. Would you please name the tail and canard fins of RIM116 in aerodynamic terminology? in that missile (RIM116) tail is ''sweep'' fin and canard is ''delta'' fin (with cant)? please let me know if the names are not correct in aerodynamic terminology. Please also comment on possibility to use WAF (wrap-around fin) for a rolling-airframe missile like RIM116.
