CO2-Flooding @ Laboratory-Scale

Whether the existing experimental methods

including Slim-Tube Test (STT), Rising Bubble Apparatus (RBA) and Pressure-Composition Diagrams (PXD)

to evaluate gas-oil miscibility

really satisfy

the fundamental definition of fluid-fluid miscibility, which essentially implies an absence of an interface between the fluid phases

(in the absence of providing direct and quantitative information on IFT; and only providing an indirect inference of miscibility from the amount of oil recovered from a time-consuming a slim-tube or qualitatively from the appearance of gas bubbles rising in a column of oil, in rising-bubble device)?
