I want to analyse a component made from Polyurethane. The uniaxial and biaxial test data are required for the curve fitting of the stress strain curves of any hyperelastic model. Where can I find standard and reliable test data?
Actually, you don't need biaxial or shear test data for material modeling of polyurethane elastomers. PU can be accurately modeled using the Bergstrom-Boyce constitutive model, which is also available in ANSYS and requires only uniaxial tension and/or compression data for calibration (curve fitting).
I've been working with constitutive modeling of PU dedicated for sealing applications, and the B-B model has been successfully used to capture all the major nonlinear phenomena of the stress-strain behavior of PU, including time/strain-rate dependence, hysteresis (energy loss), Mullins' softening, and stress relaxation.
