I am new in the area of Developmental Psychology and I am looking for a good description of the standardization process of a test for cognitive and/or language development. For example, can I find information about the standardization process for BRIEF®-P (or any other cognitive / language development test)?

I do not know what resources your university's department has available, but the best source in most cases would be the Manual for the test in question. (If there are two Manuals, then the "Technical" rather than the "User's" one.) It is routine for the test's authors to describe the entire process, from conceptualization all the way through to standardization, in the opening chapter(s).
