The answer could be scalable polynomials, like:

• Costevaporator = coeffA * UAevaporator, where coeffA has the units [$-K/W].
• Costcompressor = coeffB * Vdot,disp, where coeffB has the units of [$-s/m3].

Alternatively, a large database of available components would be fine, too, if component specs and costs are easy to retrieve.

A relatively large uncertainty is inevitable (and acceptable) in this case.
