I'm trying to start a pilot study about mycorrhizae and nutrient availability in forest ecosystems. I'm working with sugar maples (Acer saccharum) and American beech (Fagus grandifolia). I put in an order with the US national germplasm system but it's taking a long time and I'd like to explore other sources for seeds.
Seeds for research are very important entities. The source of seeds for research need high care as they are very madatory materials that all the experiment will be influenced. In that case, the seeds are found from trustable source, i.e. from the researchers themselves.
You can take help of FAO and other international organizations pertaining to your need
Seed are chosen with special care. You have to know how old they are, viability, dormancy. For those all topics it is important to know with which class of seed you will have to develop your reseach. I recommend to ask FAO or any other seeds bank, National or International.
