I am working in a project looking foward to understand altitudinal patterns and community assemblage of orb-weaver spiders in the Ecuadorian Andes. However, with traditional taxonomy I can not resolve a lot of species complex that I have found. I am interested in resolving those complex through DNA barcoding. Is there any centre where I can send the samples? How much does it cost?
Sorry, but I don't see why tradicional taxonomy does not answer your question. This have been used throughout the world for many decades without problems. Even if you are not able to give ame to the spiders that you have collected, as there may have a lot of undescribed species, you can sort them into morphospecies and then finish your job.
