The research group needs to use SPIV for experiments, and I am responsible for it. No one in our research group knows SPIV, and I have not studied PIV, so there is no foundation. The research group also has no money to buy commercial software.
One source of open-source code for Stereo PIV is the OpenPIV project, which provides software for Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) analysis. The project offers free processing software that can be used for Stereo PIV applications. According to the OpenPIV website: "We provide an open source implementation of a complete Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) processing chain, built around an efficient C++ core and a Python user interface."
