I am looking for reliable and regularly updated hourly weather forecast data for the European domani (or at least for the Italian domain).
In particular I am interested at 7 up to 15 days hourly forecast data.

The Danish Meteorological Institute, which performs weather forecasts for Northern Europe, has started a free data initiative. Please visit https://confluence.govcloud.dk/display/FDAPI for details. Since the entire infrastructure has to be build, it might take until the year 2022 until the requested data is available.

Regarding access to ECMWF forecast products, you may inspect https://www.ecmwf.int/en/forecasts/accessing-forecasts and here in particular "licenses for not commercial use" if you are not part of a European National Service.
Jaclyn Clement Kinney Thank you for your reply. I have tried to follwo the link you have provided but I was not able to find forecast data (it seems data are available until the 5th of May). Am I missing something?

ECMWF provides some essential meteorological fields at 6-hourly resolution for free at https://www.ecmwf.int/en/forecasts/datasets/wmo-essential . Follow the button "Browse and retrieve WMO Essential data files >" to access the data organized for each day at typical WMO time periods (0GMT, 6GMT, 12GMT, 18GMT).
In general, ECMWF provides data via the so-called Meteorological Archival and Retrieval System (MARS). Since different options are available to fetch data, please inspect the rich documentation for further details, e.g., at https://confluence.ecmwf.int/display/WEBAPI/Access+MARS .
Accessing data via MARS may require a valid account. All the different options are compiled at https://www.ecmwf.int/en/forecasts/accessing-forecasts or at linked subsequent pages. Please contact the ECMWF and request an account. e.g., at https://www.ecmwf.int/en/about/contact-us . I've experienced a very friendly and helpful support from ECMWF.
