Available:http://eece.ksu.edu/~gjohnson/". another case is to predict wind power directly. in this case in addition to the previous data you need wind power outputs. in such a situation you can use the data of wind farm according to your location. e.g historical data of Sotavento wind farm in spain is availible on "http://www.sotaventogalicia.com/en/real-time-data/historical" . 

A good data set for PV may be found in:

These data are publicly available. In the conference paper there is an e-mail address that you should use to request permission to access the ftp.

You can used PVsys 

Ok for power generation solar  you could use HOMER, to import  irradiance data for any region, then define a value for the unit PV (kWp), after running HOMER, you could get a complete set of 8760 hourly PV generation values based on the irradiance earlier defined, you could then export that data to a text file externally. For the wind, I don't know the granularity you need (hourly 24hours, complete year?), I have some normalized power generation values.

I want to forecast wind or solar power based on the forecast of weather data. So I would like to get time series of power generation and corresponding forecasts of weather conditions (wind speed and direction, solar radiation, cloud cover). Is such data  available?

I didn't work on PV plant output forecast. but for the wind power prediction, historical data such as temprature, pressure, and wind direction is available in aforementioned link. As i said for wind power prediction you can predict wind power directly or you can predict wind speed firstly and then transform it to wind power by using the power curve of specific wind turbine. it should be noted that forecasts of weather conditions is not avalaibale in these two link. I can refre you two a paper which addresses two wind power plant which you can find forecasted data of weather conditions.

For research purposes, they provide data (wind intensity, etc.) for free with a resolution (I think) down to 1 km, or at least they used to do that some years ago when I asked them for data.

When you join and login to the forum just go to the data tab and you will find csv files over there. Without login you just see the three general tabs, as Home, Leaderboard and Forum, but once you logged in you will see the data tab as well.
