I'm looking for a good source of Raman spectra for liquids and solutions. For instance I would like to be able to just type in a molecular formula and have the database suggest different substances and provide their known Raman spectra. I'm sure there are some good sites out there I'm just having trouble finding them. A database for inorganic or organometallic solids would be good too.

To my opinion one of the best (is not the best) sources is "Infrared and Raman Spectra of Inorganic and Coordination Compounds, Applications in Coordination, Organometallic, and Bioinorganic Chemistry" written by Nazuo Nakamoto.

Bio-Rad's SpectraBase (https://spectrabase.com) has over 24,000 spectra available and includes the Bio-Rad Sadtler Raman spectra mentioned above as well as IR, NMR, UV-Vis, and mass spectra. SpectraBase is free, and you can look up the spectra of compounds by name, CAS Registry Number, or InChIKey. You can overlay your own spectrum with the reference spectra available on SpectraBase, zoom in, etc. If you want to use the spectrum in a publication or presentation, we have a "Cite" button that will tell you the preferred method for citing SpectraBase.
