I appreciate your response.  I finally got settled with SCBT. I tried vl-20 from SCBT and it seems to be working fine. The abcam one is against human TK but  not specific for Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) which I need for my suicide gene therapy project.

I was wondering if you were able to detect your HSVtk with SC anti HSV-1 tk antibody ? what band size you got on western blot ?? I ma working on a similar project and having trouble to detect HSVtk.

Hi, Yea it worked fine. Although I dont remember the size now, but I do remember it was what it was supposed to be. Additionally, it worked with immunohistochemistry on frozen sections (but not in paraffin sections). Good luck!
