Dear limnologists - marine scientists
I am looking for a sampler that can collect integrated water samples in the 0-20m depth range.
In our lab we have an old, mechanical Schröder bottle which unfortunately stopped working and may no longer be repaired. We'd prefer to replace it with an equally simple, mechanical device, but I'm having a hard time finding one.
Do you have any suggestions?

Water logger along with sampling and spot temperature, pH and Specific electric connectivity / TDS are already available in marke. Even available to do very deep sampling also.
Can't you use a tube/tubing of 20+ m length, with a valve at the top, lower it down slowly with valve open, close valve and pull the tubing up? Or maybe that is too simple to work? (never tried it myself though...).

Mats A. Granskog 's solution would in principle work and is cheap, but is difficult in practice with so long tube (e.g. getting a flexible tube go straight down). For shorter depth ranges a rigid tube works fine but normally comes with a valve in both ends.
