Do we use bulk density (the condition where intergranular space count) or true density (based on atomic order) to calculate volume fraction for nanofiller in composite? For example carbon nanotube filler with very low bulk density but higher true density.
Anyone can suggest how to measure the bulk density?

It depends on what property you intend to measure or investigate. Microstructural effects and interactions are usually documented in terms of true density while weight reductions in components are documented in terms of bulk density.
