I would fear more of Epithelial Ingrowth after Re-lift than Infection after surface retreatment.

Also as precisely described in your article, PRK after LASIK is safe alternative especially for Myopic treatment.

I believe that surface enhancement after lasik is safe and reliable. In contrast, lifting a previous flap  always carries risks of epithelial ingrowth.

Thanks Dr Cahil for your contribution. I certainly know your good work, that is referenced in our paper. In your series you have two eyes with hyperopia after the initial myopic treatment that were retreated with LASEK. Up to how much hyperopic error would you retreat with LASEK?

Considering flap thickness, it is good not to ablate the whole flap. İf flap thickness is 120 micron together with epithelium, then you have approximately 70 microns. Depending on your ablation profile, you may apply a correction up to 50-60 microns.
