In the general formula of the discharge in open channels that I have indicated in your previous question, there is a parameter that is difficult to measure. This is the absolute roughness. This is done using a “roughness meter”, but the final value is tainted with a significant relative error of up to 10%. The other parameters of the formula are readily measurable in practice with an acceptable relative error.
Please be more specific how and with which instrument you measure the flow rate. There will be fixed and random errors in your measurement. You can calculate the fixed error for each variable depending on the precision of your instrument and random error with multiple measurements in same settings.
