I do not see the problem in education I see clearly the problem in administration of the place of teaching. You can see that within one region one county one area. We need leaders and people believe in education as a big investment for our nation.

I think that the curricula and methods of teaching should match with the skills required for the 21st century. The learners of today are digital natives, and the invention and development of the available tools that have the potential development of learners outcomes to enhance lifelong learning. Modernalization is a must.

In most developing countries, the wind of the teaching of theoretical components of subjects blows more than the practical content. Application of the learned concepts which are mostly abstract in real life situations is absent. It's just rhetorically bookish!

The direct answer to your question would be: wrong is persisting with 'teaching' in 21st century education system. To make it right, we need to move towards 'learning' instead of teaching.

We as faculty are fail to discipline our student due to which they are not in Capacity to cope the real life problem being panic they are depressed in many situation.

There is a saying "If the stars are lit, it means someone needs it". In my understanding, it sounds like this: "If the education systems is degrading, then it means someone needs it". I have an answer to this question and this answer consists of only one word - “Globalization”. It is globalization around the world that is the main source of all woes and misfortunes, and every time I become convinced more and more. This is the word Putin mentioned. Until we conceptualise what 21st century education systems are or they entail, it will be difficult to proceed any further. So, it is rather a question of how we transform our education systems to match with the evolving demands of the 21st Century era.

I think there is nothing wrong with the educational system. The wrong is when we make students do the students just do their homework without letting them think to be creative and smart enough to make them intelligent people.

Kids who are living in poverty need more, not less, of the supports that help upper-class children thrive. These include small classes, challenging, rich curriculum, individualized instruction, and supportive responses to emotional and behavioral challenges. It also means ensuring a meaningful “floor” – in terms of school readiness, physical and mental health, and nutrition – on which they can stand in order to viably learn.

The response might be country based as some schools in the western world might be doing great, especially those running with the British Curriculum. However, in Nigeria, the only problem is the misappropriation of funds meant to be used to upgrade and maintain the schools.

Also, much emphasis are made on IT and Vocational skills rather than dwelling on teaching the students to be great thinkers and problem solvers via the adoption of Thinking Skills as a teaching subject, like Britain and some part America and Europe have adopted.

The problem of education these days is mainly related to the whole system. Iraq used to be one of the countries in the middle east that offer the best education free of charge beginning from the kindergarten up to the postgraduate education. Curently the problem is in the quality of education which has been deteriorating in the past 20 years. However, we look forward to improving the whole system in the future so as to restore its previous reputation.

I think college education is becoming less affordable to many students (I am speaking from USA point of view). When the economy is doing relatively well college enrollment drops as it happened in the 2018-2019 academic year. The following may be some strategies:

(1) Since not everyone is cut out to do a 4 year college program and earn a bachelor's degree, make all 2-year vocational/technical associate degree programs completely free of charge. Offer cutting edge technology courses that would bring more qualified workers into the 21st century technologically advanced workplace

(2) Make 4-year colleges attractive for all by subsidizing or making them tuition-free for at least the first 2 years of education. Thus no matter how the economy is doing there will be an influx of students enrolling into such programs.

Another dimention to this discussions is, our educational system with greater emphasis on Ghana seams to be a direct copy from our colonial masters, though is not entirely bad, but to me we should develop our curriculum base on our local needs, that is indigenous education must be promoted.

Again, our current trend in education seams to be too silent on tecnical and vocational education/training which is very key in any emerging economy like Ghana. So, policy makers and key stakeholders in the educational sector including all of us must lead the crusade for technical/vocation training.

The question of the topic is broad and interesting. The answers are certainly well-justified.

I think the whole point is to see how education systems need to catch up with the changing society and respond to its' needs and demands.

Maybe we should have in mind when talking about 'wrong' that these concepts (correct, wrong) can be subjective.
