A nice and informative figure on how the active and early application of preventive measures and precaution could change the outbreak consequences and reduce the burden on health facilities
If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, you must stay at home to prevent it spreading to other people.
You might also be asked to stay at home if you may have been exposed to the virus.
Staying at home means you:
do not go to public places such as work, school, shopping centers, childcare or university
ask someone to get food and other necessities for you and leave them at your front door
do not let visitors in — only people who usually live with you should be in your home
You do not need to wear a mask in your home. If you need to go out to seek medical attention, wear a surgical mask (if you have one) to protect others.
You should stay in touch by phone and on-line with your family and friends.
Dear colleague have a nice day. In this RG question there are some attempt to search the causes of the incredible (humanitarian) case of mortality rate in N. Italy (Lombardia & Emilia Romagna). https://www.researchgate.net/post/The_novel_Coronavirus_in_N_Italy_Lombardia_COVID19_2019nCoV_SARSCoV2_shows_a_fatality_rate_compatible_with_SARS_Why ...... These data https://www.researchgate.net/publication/339781431 .. are very similar to SARS or MERS.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain at least three feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then dispose of the tissue safely.
Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
Wearing a mask is not necessary unless you are taking care of an infected person. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) does recommend that only infected people wear masks to prevent the spread of the virus.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water when hands are visibly dirty.
If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.
Keep in mind the travel advisory set out by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The effective measures are the closure of airports, transport terminals, and other places that can facilitate the distribution of the virus. Initiate rapid screening protocols, and with a large number of screening tests. On the other hand, the implementation of quarantine and isolation measures. And individual measures such as the indications for handwashing, the use of face masks and glasses, as well as other prevention and control strategies that I describe in my manuscript to which I attach the link.

thank you for the valuable comment and the important points highlighted.
I think the current query is:
Till when these measures should continue? including closure and restriction of movement and closure of many facilities including schools and Universities.
An important issue raised, Isolation of infected cases is so important.
But I think with the widespread of infection social distancing, restriction of movements (any form or level of Curfew) and wearing masking are so important also. as many infected persons will be missed with especially with lower numbers of tests done in developing countries as well as lower health education, attitude and practices in these countries
