I recently received a lyophilized enzyme (5U Glutamate oxidase) from Sigma-Aldrich, when I was about to prepare some aliquots, I noticed that some of the powder is stuck to the cap. I want to minimize any loss while opening the vial.

When I first saw the package, the lyophilized powder appeared as clumps at the bottom, but after I took out from the freezer after a little while to prepare the stock, I notice that the powder was dispered throughout the bottle and mostly stuck to the cap.

I tried to open the metal rim around the rubber gently, but I did not remove the rubber stop. (Would it be safe to centrifuge it?)

Any best practice to retrieve the enzyme would be appreciated. Thank you
