The viscous
crude product was recovered after removing the solvent( only toluen ) using an
evaporator. The crude product was then dissolved in chloroform
and filtered. why choloroform?? and what is role choloroform in the next step?Why do I need to do?

Usually the chloroform is used for dissolving compounds. Furthermore, it presents a high vapor pressure, therefore it has high volatility and it can be separated easily from the reaction system.

What need is I add that to my product again choloroform and filtered???
my solvent is toluen in reaction, not choloroform.If I do not do the last step (choloroform) , what will happen???
May be the material without reacted is removed by using chloroform.
