What would be the relationship between leaf N content and feeding of Leaf hopper vectors?

Hello everyone,

I am working on plant factors effect on performance of vector of sugarcane White Leaf disease vector Delocephalus menoni ( Homoptera: Cicadalidae) . I came up with negative correlation for vector feeding and leaf N composition.

Do you have any explanations for my out come and any suggestions for further studies?
