Our study will be using a quasi-experimental design with nonprobability purposive sampling. We will be conducting pretests and posttests for each participant. There are 2 groups (control and experimental).
How can we determine the optimal sample size? We are planning to conduct this to about 30 respondents (15 for each group). Thank you

I presume you intend to conduct one or more hypothesis tests. I'd suggest having a look at what the requisite sample size would be (presuming randomized sample) using an aide such as g*power, and then consider that a lower bound for "optimal" size (since you're using intact groups in a convenience sample situation).
