I need to introduce Eu ions into a silicon oxide matrix and I am doing it by CVD technique, although I am not very sure about if the ions are introducing into the silicon based lattice.

I would be very grateful if someone could suggest an adequate technique (and if it's possible an explanation) to ensure the presence of the ions in the matrix.
