What will you do if you find an author has published one research article in 2 major journals? Two of them are PubMed Indexed journals and the "studies" follow the same RCT methodology, but it is published in two different journals. Is it no scientific misconduct to publish a study twice? Or is it different for RCTs? In the two separate publications of the same study, one of them is published in July 2007 whereas the other one is published in Feb 2008. What will you do if you find such an author?
There are some stupid authors who submitted manuscript at two different places and got published. Even, I personally know some guys. However, I read a Syst review that did exclude articles due to multiple publication. For me, it is a sign of mis-trustworthiness (how come we gonna trust the findings while they are breaking the declaration to one of the journals claiming the fact that they are making the first submission).
