If I understand your question correctly, you are trying to find how much should be the suction pressure of the compressor?

To calculate the suction pressure criteria with satisfying the discharge pressure, there are a number of references and standards. you can follow API 615 for centrifugal compressor according to polytropic equation of compressors. Alternatively, please take a look at Osiadacz book chapter 2
