For ICP-MS analysis: for the digestion of catalyst (0.05 mg catalyst PtNi) mixing in 5 ml HNO3 & 2 ml HCl, after digestion process, we are diluting it in water (45 ml), what will be the PPb of the final solution?

Hi,
ppm is mg/L but ppb is ug/ L = 1000 ppm
( 0.05 * 1000/45) = 1.111111 mg/ L = ppm
ug/L = 1.111111*1000= 1111.111 ug/L= 1111.111 ppb

Luma M. Ahmed Hello Professor hope you are fine! I have did ICP-MS to know the concentration of Pt, I used 5 mg of sample and dissolve in 2 mL HCL: 7 mL HNO3, after complete digestion, I made 100 mL solution and I used this solutions without diluting it. I got 39.1 ppb from the ICP-MS machine. Kindly tell me how to calculate weight % of Pt?
