According to UNESCO, "One year into the COVID-19 pandemic, close to half the world’s students are still affected by partial or full school closures, and over 100 million additional children will fall below the minimum proficiency level in reading as a result of the health crisis."
On the other hand, there are very few reports that talk about the affect of COVID-19 pandemic on pedagogical skills of teachers and their future.
This is a great question!
Only time will show. I can only speak for my students - soon to be teachers - they're much more experienced in using different onlien features (jabmoard, padlet, socrative, kahoot) as well as general communication platforms. They also had to learn that asking a question doesn't necessarily mean making students think about it, therefore ask better and more addressed questions and are more aware of the need of being able to evaluate the learning process based on the students answer.
The negative part is definitely in their lack of direct classroom experience - differenc climate, methods, organizational forms, and mainly the fact that there was this gao between the school they experienced (the role models they had) and the teaching they practiced. My concerns are, they might switch back to monkeying their highschool teachers as if no university training mattered just because we didn't have the chance to work on this when everything was online.

Obviously, there would teaching learning gap's with mindsets of shortcuts and overlapping phenomenon on basic S & T concepts etc.
Regarding the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on pedagogical skills of teachers,
teachers already familiar with class-room environment to delivery the lessons using whiteboard and interactive discussion, and now, due to COVID-19, they would enrich their skills with digital environment with digital whiteboard and other useful software/apps as mentioned by Martin Rusek . However, this needs lot of training and adaptation to familiarize them with digital environment especially for those who are not tech savvy persons.
