I am trying to make Alginate-CNC hydrogels for tumor tissue encapsulation. I looked into many papers, but none of the papers mention the volume (ml) of Cacl2.2h20 needed to make the Alginate-CNC hydrogels. The concentration (for eg. 20, 50mM) is only mentioned.

We recently completed Sodium alginate encapsulation of mesenchymal stem cells study and submitted to journal for publication.
I may not able to give that exact answer of the query, of your conditions. But in our case we took 100000 cells for per 1ml of 2% sodium alginate. took the solution in syringe and extruded dropwise in ice cold 100mM calcium chloride.
To be very precise, calcium chloride is for polymerization, so we took 2-3ml of Cacl2 in 35mm culture dish. drops were incubated for 25min.
