For adsorption instrument compatibility, you have to consider all wetted components--mainly valve plungers and valve seats (usually buna-n or viton), in addition to the o-ring that seals the sample cell. This may vary from instrument to instrument, as several types of valves may be used, so it is best to contact the manufacturer. In addition, it is good to think about how these vapors may interact with the vacuum pump as well (copper seals for turbo pumps, diaphragms for membrane roughing pumps, etc).
