I will be using aflatoxin b1 solution for in vitro studies. However, my institution suggests that I may need a carbon filter. Currently, I have access to a class II type A2 biosafety cabinet and a fume hood. My concentration of aflatoxin would be a range of 10-20 ug/ml.

In my opinion it is most important is to use an exhausted system such as a good fume cupboard. I would not really trust a filtered system for extremely toxic molecules.
I used to work with the Carmel Pharma Phaseal system for closed transfer of cytotoxic drugs many years ago. This may also be useful for in vitro studies. I believe these products are still available, Leakage was much lower than comparable filtered systems.
