Dear all,
I am going to be testing whether:
1) a mother's neuroticism influences their daughter's neuroticism
2) whether rumination is a predictor of neuroticism in their adult daughter
I have been told I need to use regression analysis. I am using G*Power to calculate the sample size but I am finding myself lost with all the different Test family and Statistical test options. Would anyone be able to tell me which of each I should use for this type of analysis please?

#1) Testing r (mother's neuroticism, daughter's neuroticism): F tests / Linear multiple regression, fixed model, R^2 deviation from zero OR t tests / Linear multiple regression, fixed model, single regression coefficient.
#2) Testing r(daughter's rumination, daughter's neuroticism): same as above.
