Research has shown that there is a symbiotic relationship between reading and writing generally. Is latter borne out in your own experience with graduate students and if so, what strategies do you use to enable them to read more in order to enhance their academic writing abilities? Your views are greatly appreciated.

Regular preparatory task and particular in new topics. With this, they're required to present their ideas which can be critically analysed by colleagues through questioning. The advantage of this is that, they're required to develop independent learning skills through reading with critical feedback expected.
