I am looking to compare two cultural groups (independent variable) and their resilience profile (dependent variable). There are six factors within the profile, so I feel that a MANOVA would be effective. My research question is specifically targeting the different presentation across all of the factors or in the profile, not necessarily within individual factors. Would a MANOVA give me this data?

U can use One way ANOVA!! And then run a post Hoc test to find individual relation between variables!!
MANOVA makes sense if you're interested in how each of your 6 resilience sub-scales differ across cultures. Or are you more interested in how the patterns of the 6 resilience sub-scales fit together within a person (e.g., somebody high in all; somebody high in A,B,C but not D,E,F; somebody high in A,C,E, medium in B,D and low in F)? If so, conduct a cluster analysis on your entire sample to find a good fit for clusters with the 6 resilience sub-scales. SPSS and similar programs will give you an option to create a new variable with each participant's best-fit cluster. Then run a chi square comparing your two cultures to the N clusters (i.e., new variable). A significant result would suggest the proportions of resilience clusters differ across cultures.
