I want to know the solution and applied voltage for doing the electropolishing of boride samples especially Titanium Diboride for EBSD studies. Any one knows about the required solution and applied voltage, please help me.
I know that the following question is no answer to your question but why do you want apply electropolishing? The material is that hard that you perhaps even don't need the typical surface finishing by colloidal silica in order to get patterns. It is perhaps not detrimental but with 0.5µm diamond paste the results should be already acceptable. Did you already try conventional polishing? How big is your grain size?
Electrolytic etching of TiB2 can be accomplished with NaOH 10% wt/wt, 30─60 V dc, and stainless steel cathode.

Thank you very much for your valuable information. As said Dr Gert, we will try without doing any electro polishing. our grain size is in the range of 2 to 5 micron.
