Stata, Eviews and R can do time series measurement well. You need to know how to implement event study using these software from the literature review of other similar studies.

MS Excel, STATA, Matlab can be used along with R

Excel appears too unsophisticated for analyzing Econometric Data like Stock Market Data. An improvement on this is eviews.

Thank you all for your answers, I believe stats , eviews and R are great, but they all need programing into there language code which requires long learning curve.

I agree - the site is very good - but there are a number of problems: the English text - that is, you need to correctly translate your corpus and the second drawback is the clustering of events. How is the problem of clustering (stratification of events) solved and is it solved at all?

Either you may build one in Excel or try proprietary ones like: Eventus, Event Study Metrics, Event study tools. Add-ins in STATA, Matlab, or R software are also available.

If you are comfortable with R, Python and STATA. They are good software for big data analysis

Eviews will solve the problem. it is user friendly and can be handled without programming and codes you seem not to be interested in. it will give you decent graphs, tabular output, etc.

Can Eviews do event study without coding ?
