I have some questions about Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment (CORDEX) data and I appreciate you if you guide me.

I downloaded the monthly precipitation, maximum, and minimum temperature data from CORDEX data for Iran country.  The extracted data of maximum and minimum temperature are well and correlation coefficients between observed and estimated dataset are approximately equal to 0.95 (R=0.95). However, in terms of precipitation, there are highly differences between observed and extracted precipitation by driving satellite models and the computed R values is less than 0.5 for total stations in Iran country and it causes me confusion. In your opinion, what should I do?

For example, I attached the Excel file including the results (precipitation and maximum temperature as well as the computed correlation coefficients between observed and extracted dataset) of two stations of Iran country namely Kerman (LATITUDE 30 15 N  and LONGITUDE  56 58 E ) and Rasht (LATITUDE    37 15 N and LONGITUDE   49 36 E ) stations.

Best Regards,

Alireza
